Here are some wording ideas for you. Use them as a guide and add you own details.

    at the Holiday Inn, University Center in Oakland.
    Please call 682-6200 or 1-800-HOLIDAY before June 6th 
    to receive the special room rate of $109.00 per night.

    The Holiday Inn is within walking distance from 
    the Wedding Ceremony at the Concordia Club.


     Directions
    From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take I-376 (west) to Exit 7A (Oakland-885N), bearing right onto Bates Street. Follow Bates Street for one-half mile and turn left onto Bouquet Street. Follow Bouquet Street to Forbes Avenue. Turn right on Forbes Avenue, turn left on S. Bellefield Avenue, continue to Fifth Avenue, turn left, then right on Tennyson Avenue to the Holiday Inn.
     
    From I-79, , exit I-279 Pittsburgh to I-376 Oakland. 
    Exit Forbes Avenue, turn left on S. Bellefield Avenue and follow above.

    From the airport, follow Route 60 to I-279 Pittsburgh, take I-376 Oakland to forbes Avenue, turn left on S. Bellefield Avenue and follow above.
    Airport Express limousines can take you from the Pittsburgh Airport 
    directly to the Holiday Inn in Oakland. 
    They leave each hour @ $12.50 per person, or $21.00 round trip. 
    Please check Ground Transportation at the airport for your options.

    Note to young friends attending a Bar/Bat Mitzvah

    We hope that you will be able to join Rachel on her special day. The Bat Mitzvah Service begins at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Sinai, 5505 Forbes Avenue in Squirrel Hill. Usually friends sit together in the sanctuary so it should be easy to find someone to join. Please dress in appropriate Temple/Church attire. Girls should wear skirts or dresses and boys should wear khakis or dress pants and a nice shirt.

    The service will end around 12:15 P.m. and will be followed by a light luncheon. Your parents should plan to pick you up at the temple around 12:45 p.m.
    The party begins at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Country Club located at 4500 Hillcrest Drive in Oakland. There will be a DJ and a buffet dinner for Amy's friends and a seated dinner for the adults. The party ends at 11:00 p.m., so have your parents plan to be there to pick you up by 10:45 p.m. Dress appropriately for an evening event, meaning no jeans.

     Bar Mitzvah hotel note
    We are thrilled that you are here in Pittsburgh to celebrate
    Steven's Bar Mitzvah. We hope your travel to our fine city was uneventful! 

    The Hampton Inn is very accommodating, so do not hesitate to ask if you need anything. Although they do not have a restaurant, a continental breakfast is served daily.  They offer free shuttle service in and around the Oakland/Squirrel Hill/Shadyside area.

    Dinner on Friday, March 2nd, 2001 is planned for 5:00 PM at Poli’s Restaurant followed by Friday evening Shabbat services at 8:00 PM at Temple Sinai. 

    Shabbat services on Saturday morning, March 3rd, 2001, featuring Adam's Bar Mitzvah, begin promptly at 10:30 AM. However, family members are requested to be at the synagogue by 8:30 AM for picture taking! A luncheon will be held at the synagogue immediately following services.
     
    You are all invited to an informal open house at our home Saturday evening (casual attire). Please plan on arriving in time for the Havdalah service at 5:30 PM followed by a light buffet dinner. 
    Finally, Sunday March 4th, 2001 at 10 AM, we hope you’ll
    join us for an informal brunch at our home.

    Directions from the Hampton Inn to Temple Sinai
    * Take Forbes Avenue East through the University of Pittsburgh, past Carnegie Institute, past Carnegie Mellon University,   up a hill, after which the road bends to the left. Temple Sinai is one   block on the left after the bend in the road. (#5505 Forbes Ave.,   corner of Murdoch St.) There is no parking lot, so park anywhere   on Forbes, Murdoch or any other side street. 
    Directions from the Hampton Inn to Poli’s Restaurant 
    (15 minute drive)
    *Take Forbes Avenue past Temple Sinai (per above) – 
     at second light after the Temple, turn right onto Murray Avenue. Follow Murray about 1 mile to the bottom of the hill. Poli’s will be on your left, corner of Murray and Forward Ave. There is valet parking on your right, across from the entrance to the restaurant. Ask for the Davis party.

    Directions from Poli’s to Temple Sinai 
    (5 minute drive)
     * Take Murray Avenue back up the hill, approximately one mile to Forbes Avenue (You’ll pass Barnes and Noble on your right). Turn left at the light onto Forbes, and go two blocks. Temple Sinai will be on your right. Park anywhere you can!
    Directions from the Hampton Inn to the Davis's
    (15 minute drive)
    * Take Forbes past Temple Sinai (5505 Forbes Avenue) and past Poli’s (corner of Murray Avenue and Forward Avenue) 
    restaurant. Continue on Murray Avenue for two more blocks; 
    turn left onto Burchfield Avenue. Go up and down hill – 
    Our house is #5865 on the left side.
